How to create Custom Data Rules for Integrations
- Click your initials in the bottom left hand corner followed by Settings then Custom Data Rules.
- Depending on whether your mapping will be Contact Specific or Account specific, you would want to select the proper mapping section and click Add New Mapping
- From here, select the corresponding Seamless.AI Data Field that you would like to override.
- Select the Operator of your choosing where "=" is "equal to" and "!=" is "not equal to".
- Next we will Add the existing Value that Seamless would send in regarding this Data.
- Adjust the Override Value to the exact Value that you would need from the CRM that you are utilizing. Now anytime that Seamless.AI Data filed is exported, the data will be overwritten before importing into your CRM
How to Upload Custom Data Rules via CSV
Before you get started, ensure that you have selected the Contact or Account setting at the top of the page to upload these rules for the specific profiles that you are looking to make the adjustments on
Click Upload Custom Rules CSV File followed by Download Sample File
- This Sample file will contain all necessary column headers for the file configuration as well as field names and specific values available for each section of the file.
- Copy and paste your Seamless field values and their override values to ensure they match properly with your CRM's existing values!
- Once you have finished setting your data rules, remove any of the fields or columns remaining in the CSV. The only columns that should be left are Seamless.AI Field, Operator (equals/not equals), Existing Field Value, Override Value and Apply Rule (Y/N).
- You can now upload your CSV file into Seamless and you should see all your Custom Data Rules applied!
